Robbery for loan! The Bank manager said- 40 lakhs were stolen, the thief said- only 36 lakhs were taken… Police are stuck in the trap of 4 lakhs.
An astonishing revelation has been made about the robbery of Rs 40 lakhs in Axis Bank in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh. The big thing in this case is that the bank manager had reported the robbery of Rs 40 lakhs in the FIR, but the robber said that he had only looted Rs 36 lakhs. He also gave the account of Rs 36 lakhs during the police interrogation. In such a situation, now the police have started searching for those 4 lakh rupees, which were looted according to the bank manager, but were not found with the robber. In search of this money, the police are now going to interrogate the bank manager and the cashier as well.
According to the police, the robber has been identified as Amarjeet, a resident of Lilon village. Let us tell you that on the afternoon of October 1, Axis Bank located near Dhimanpura gate in the Sadar Kotwali police station area was robbed in broad daylight. Amarjeet, who entered the bank with a pistol, told the bank manager that he had a debt of Rs 39 lakh. He demanded Rs 40 lakh and said that if he did not give it, he would shoot them and then commit suicide. Seeing the pistol in his hand and passion in his eyes, the bank manager got scared and immediately asked for Rs 40 lakh from the cashier and gave it to the robber.
The robber counted the amount of Rs 36 lakh.
As soon as the miscreant left from there, a report of a robbery of 40 lakhs was filed with the police. On hearing the news of this incident, there was a stir in the police department. According to Additional SP Santosh Kumar Singh, electronic intelligence along with human intelligence was activated in a hurry. As soon as the accused was identified, he was arrested and 30 lakh 20 thousand rupees were recovered. After interrogation, the accused also told about the 5 lakh 80 thousand rupees that he had given to different people to pay off the loan.
He told the police with complete honesty that he had looted only 36 lakh rupees and not 40 lakhs from the bank. This confession of the accused has further increased the confusion of the police. This confusion is due to those 4 lakh rupees which according to the bank manager were looted but were not found with the robber. Now the police, after interrogating the robber Amarjeet, presented him in the court and sent him to jail. Now the police will interrogate the bank manager and the cashier for the recovery of the remaining 4 lakh rupees. The police suspect that in this incident, the bank manager may have deliberately increased the amount by 4 lakhs.
