Rajasthan Weather Alert: Warning of heavy to very heavy rain in 6 districts, holiday declared in schools

The active monsoon that has been going on in Rajasthan for three days now seems to be causing problems for the people. It is raining heavily in the state these days, due to which five people have died. Due to the rising of Mahi river in Banswara district of the state, many villages have been cut off from other areas.

Due to heavy rains, holiday has been declared in schools in Jalore and Sanchore districts. It has been raining heavily in the capital Jaipur since this morning. Even today, a red alert of heavy rain has been issued by the Meteorological Department in many districts of the state. 

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy to very heavy rain in 6 districts on Monday. According to the department, a red alert has been issued in view of the possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in Banswara, Dungarpur and Pratapgarh today. Orange alert of rain has been issued in Chittorgarh, Sirohi and Udaipur.
