Rajasthan: Strike of petrol pump operators postponed for 10 days, committee formed

The three-day long strike of petrol pump operators in Rajasthan has been postponed for 10 days on late Friday evening. After this, people in the state have got some relief. Let us tell you that talks took place between Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas and representatives of Petrol Pump Operators Association.
After the talks, Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas said that the government will take concrete decisions. A committee has been formed to assess VAT. The committee will give its report in 10 days. Khachariyawas said that the Central Government should bring petrol and diesel under the ambit of GST. Consensus has been reached on three demands of petrol pump operators.
At the same time, the President of RPDA has also announced to postpone the strike for 10 days. Earlier, a symbolic strike of 8 hours each was held on Wednesday and Thursday. During this period, about 7 thousand pumps in the state remained closed.
