According to reports, the Congress is working on a strategy to field many veteran MLAs from the state. Under this, many stalwarts including former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot can contest the Lok Sabha elections this year.

Meanwhile, there is news that in Tonk too, demand has started to arise for former Congress state president Sachin Pilot to contest the Lok Sabha elections. Congress is visiting all the seats and taking feedback from the workers regarding the Lok Sabha elections. Many officials including former minister Murari Lal Meena and Congress observer Mahesh Sharma have taken feedback in Tonk. 

During this, the District Congress Committee has demanded to field Sachin Pilot from Tonk-Sawai Madhopur Lok Sabha seat.
