BJP has started preparations for the Rajya Sabha elections to be held on three seats in Rajasthan. These seats are going to become vacant due to the completion of the tenure of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Bhupendra Yadav and the victory of Kirori Lal Meena in the assembly elections. There is every possibility of BJP capturing two of these three seats.

Three names are coming forward from BJP to be made candidates for Rajya Sabha. This includes the names of former leader of the party Rajendra Rathod, former state president Satish Poonia and national secretary and co-in-charge of Delhi Alka Gurjar.

Among these, the surprising name from Bharatiya Janata Party may be that of Rajendra Rathod. Whereas the Sangh wants to send former Amer MLA Satish Poonia to the Rajya Sabha. Now only the future will tell which of these leaders will be sent to the Rajya Sabha by the Bharatiya Janata Party.
