Rajasthan Panchayat Election-2021: 2194 candidates will try their luck in Alwar and Dholpur districts


Now only 2194 candidates are left in the fray for the elections to be held in the next three phases for the Zilla Parishad members and Panchayat Samiti members of Alwar and Dholpur districts of Rajasthan. There will be 244 candidates for Zilla Parishad members and 1950 candidates for Panchayat Samiti members. 

Chief Electoral Officer and Secretary Chitra Gupta have given information in this regard. He said that the work of filling nomination papers had started in both the districts from October 4 as soon as the notification was issued. Till October 8, 417 candidates filed nomination papers for Zilla Parishad members, 511 candidates and 2879 candidates for Panchayat Samiti members, 3392 candidates filed nomination papers.

After scrutiny and withdrawal of nominations, a total of 2194 candidates will be seen trying their luck in the election battle. Chief Electoral Officer and Secretary Chitra Gupta informed that 2 candidates have been elected unopposed for Zilla Parishad member and 13 for Panchayati Samiti member. 

A total of 27 lakh 2 thousand 791 voters are registered in both the districts, out of which 14 lakh 41 thousand 738 men, 12 lakh 61 thousand 45 women, and 8 other voters will be able to exercise their franchise.
