Rajasthan: In the cabinet meeting, the Gehlot government took these important decisions today

Under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, many important policy decisions have been taken in the cabinet meeting held from CM residence through VC today. In the cabinet meeting, approval has been given to amend the Rajasthan Rural Development State Service Rules-2007.

At present, there is a provision to fill 75 percent of the posts of junior pay chain of Rajasthan Rural Development State Service by direct recruitment, which will be modified by this decision of the cabinet and the ratio of direct recruitment and promotion can be made 50-50. With this, 50 percent of posts of the junior pay chain of Rajasthan Rural Development State Service will be filled through the promotion of additional development officers.

The Cabinet has approved amendments to the Miscellaneous Service Rules to remove the provision of being placed on probation for one year on promotion of direct recruits. The Cabinet has approved the introduction of the Code of Criminal Procedure (Rajasthan Amendment) Bill-2021 for the consideration of the Legislative Assembly.

By this proposed bill, the state government will also get the power to notify other government scientific experts like the central government. This will bring dynamism in the investigation and trial of criminal cases.
