Rajasthan: Holiday declared in Jaipur today, District Collector ordered! Click here to know the reason behind it

Today, the festival of Shitalashtami is being celebrated with great enthusiasm in Jaipur. Although this festival is celebrated all over the country, it has great importance in Jaipur. In such a situation, on this day in Chaksu of Jaipur, a fair of Maa Sheetalmata is held and worship is done. In such a situation, a holiday has been declared on behalf of the District Collector in Jaipur today. 

In Jaipur, a fair will be held in rural and urban areas including Chaksu's sheel ki dungri. In such a situation, a holiday has been announced today by District Collector Prakash Rajpurohit. On the other hand, necessary arrangements have been made for the Sheetla Mata fair to be held at Shildungari in Chaksu and Nayla in Jamvaramgarh.

According to the tradition, Sheetla Mata is worshiped on the Ashtami of Chaitra Krishna Paksha, a day before it, Saptami is considered as Basoda, and dishes are prepared in homes. On the next day, Mata Sheetla is worshiped on Ashtami Tithi.
