Jaipur. A major accident took place in Jaipur on Friday morning. A tanker carrying CNG gas and a truck carrying chemicals collided near Bhankrota on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway. The accident took place near a petrol pump. The fire spread rapidly and engulfed the petrol pump. About 35 vehicles on the highway were burnt. 50 people have been reported to be burnt. 5 people have died. The death toll may increase.
  


According to information received from local people, five bodies were taken out from the burnt vehicles. 15 people have suffered severe burn injuries. 10 people have suffered more than 80 percent burn injuries. Due to this, the death toll is expected to increase. The fire has caused damage up to a distance of about one kilometer. 

People burning in fire were seen running here and there
Locals present at the site of the incident said that after the accident they saw many people burning in the fire. Many people were running here and there to save themselves. Vehicles parked at the Dhawa on the side of the highway also got burnt. A bus also caught fire. Information has been received that the people travelling in it also got injured.


Firefighters engaged in extinguishing the fire, 20 vehicles were called
After getting information about the accident, police reached the spot. Fire brigade personnel are trying to control the fire. 20 fire engines have been called. The accident happened near DPS school. The highway has been closed. Due to this, a long traffic jam has occurred. Burnt patients are still coming to SMS, the biggest government hospital in Jaipur. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has reached the hospital.

Flames were rising, the area was filled with smoke
After the accident, high flames were seen rising from the burning vehicles. The entire area was filled with smoke. Jaipur DM Jitendra Soni said that about 24 people were injured in this incident. They were taken to the hospital for treatment. The DM said, "About 40 vehicles caught fire. Fire engines and ambulances have reached the spot. Relief work is underway. The fire has been brought under control. About 23-24 people were injured in this incident."
