The date of assembly elections in Rajasthan has finally changed. The Election Commission has said that voting will be held in Rajasthan on 25th November instead of 23rd November. However, the date of counting of votes has not been changed. Everywhere else, i.e. in all the five states, the election results will come on December 3 only.

Let us tell you that the Election Commission has changed the date due to thousands of marriages and Dev Uthani Ekadashi proposed on 23rd November in the state. The Election Commission said that there are large-scale wedding events in the state on November 23. Apart from this there are also social programs. In view of this, many political parties and social organizations had appealed to change the date of voting.

If media reports are to be believed, keeping this in mind it has been decided to change the date of voting. Let us tell you that on 23rd November is Devotthan Ekadashi, which is also called Devuthani. There are around 45 thousand marriages in Rajasthan on this day. This is the reason why there was a demand to change the date of voting.
