Rajasthan: Congress has now given a ticket to this leader who was close to former CM Vasundhara Raje.

Congress has made former BJP MLA Prahlad Gunjal, a special leader of former CM Vasundhara Raje and a fierce attacker on Shanti Dhariwal and Ashok Gehlot government, as its candidate from Kota Lok Sabha seat.

Prahlad Gunjal had recently left the BJP and joined Congress. He had obtained membership in Congress in the presence of Congress Party State President Govind Singh Dotasara and former CM Ashok Gehlot. 

At one time, Prahlad Gunjal used to curse the Congress Party a lot. He had even made allegations of corruption along with the documents. Now MLA Prahlad Gunjal will challenge Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Om Birla from Kota Lok Sabha seat.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla is currently the MP from this seat. Earlier in the year 2014 also during the Modi wave, Om Birla had won from the same seat. Now it will not be easy for Om Birla to win from this seat.
