Before the assembly elections are to be held this year, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has given a big gift to the women of the state. He announced a 50 percent concession in the fare of all categories of roadways buses for women passengers.

Ashok Gehlot made this announcement on Thursday while addressing the ceremony organized after inaugurating the newly constructed state-of-the-art bus terminal at Central Bus Stand, Sindhi Camp, Jaipur. With this step of CM Gehlot, women will now be able to take advantage of a 50 percent discount on the fare of all categories of buses including express, deluxe along with ordinary roadways buses.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that the newly constructed terminal will make it easier for the common man to travel. Satellite and new bus stands are being built in the state. A state-of-the-art bus stand is also being prepared in Jodhpur. Fare concession is also being given to the devotees going to Lakhi fairs.

A provision has been made for free travel for the people going for immersion of the ashes of their deceased relatives in Haridwar. He said that the candidates going for the examination are also being given free travel facilities in roadways buses. A large number of students have got the benefit of free bus travel during competitive examinations.
