Rajasthan By-Election: During Wednesday’s (November 13) voting in Khinwsar, BJP candidate Rewant Ram Danga responded to Health Minister Gajendra Singh’s statement about shaving his mustache if BJP loses. When asked by reporters about leaders’ remarks impacting the election, Danga stated that statements don’t matter, people do. He added that politicians make statements for their own interests, saying, “I haven’t heard anything like that” about Singh’s comment on shaving his head if BJP loses.
Minister’s Challenge in Khinwsar On the final day of election campaigning (November 11), Health Minister Gajendra Singh made a bold statement in support of BJP candidate Rewant Ram Danga at a public meeting in Khinwsar. He stated, “We can’t lose this time. If we lose, I’ll shave my head and mustache and stand at this square.” BJP leaders like Jyoti Mirdha, Rewant Ram Danga, and Durg Singh were present.
Gajendra Singh’s Statement Goes Viral on Social Media Singh’s statement quickly went viral on social media. In a similar vein, during the Lok Sabha elections, Dr. Kirodi Lal Meena also issued a challenge, promising to resign from his ministerial position if BJP did not win the Dausa and Tonk seats. BJP eventually lost both seats, and Meena offered his resignation, though it was never formally accepted.

BJP’s Candidate Rewant Ram Danga in Khinwsar Following Hanuman Beniwal’s election as MP, his wife Kanika Beniwal is contesting the Khinwsar seat under RLP. BJP has fielded Rewant Ram Danga, and Congress candidate Ratan Chaudhary, wife of former IPS officer Sawai Singh, is also in the race, making it a triangular contest.
