Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has now taken a big step to strengthen the micro irrigation system in the state. Before the upcoming assembly elections, CM Gehlot has given administrative and financial approval to the project worth Rs 765.07 crore of the Horticulture Department under the Micro Irrigation Fund Scheme. 

In the budget year 2023-24, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has proposed to completely include about 1 lakh hectare area of ​​24 over-exploited ground water blocks under micro irrigation in the next 3 years and under the Dholpur Community Lift Irrigation Scheme of Dholpur, Rajkheda and Sampau. Announcements were made to include 28 thousand 800 hectares of canal area under micro irrigation.

Under the MIF project, other works including the above two announcements have been included. With this approval of the Chief Minister, water use capacity in the state will be increased. This is being considered an important step of CM Gehlot before the elections.
