Congress has dominated many seats in Rajasthan, but there are many seats on which the party has not won for a long time. One of these is Ratangarh located in Churu district of Shekhawati. You will be surprised to know that Congress has not won this seat for 25 consecutive years.

The reason for this is believed to be the rebellion of the party leaders here. Ratangarh Assembly has been the traditional seat of Bharatiya Janata Party. It has become an impenetrable fort for the Bharatiya Janata Party. However, it will be a big challenge for BJP to win this seat in the upcoming assembly elections. The changing equation in the assembly elections is worrying for BJP.

Due to Brahmin majority in Ratangarh assembly constituency, both the major parties are betting on Brahmin face, but Congress has to face defeat on this seat due to Jat candidate being rebel. Congress last won this seat in 1998.
