Illegal liquor, cash, narcotics, and other materials worth about Rs 9 lakh have been confiscated ahead of the polling for two assembly seats in Rajasthan on October 30. On the instructions of the Election Department, the concerned departments have confiscated these materials.

Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta has given this information today. He said that with the announcement of the assembly by-election, the teams of the concerned departments had started working. The teams have seized various items worth Rs 8 lakh 98 thousand 204 till Sunday in Vallabhnagar (Udaipur) and Dhariyavad (Pratapgarh).

Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta informed that FST, SST, and police working in these two areas together made illegal liquor worth Rs 6 lakh 20 thousand, narcotics worth Rs 1 lakh 25 thousand, and value of more than 1 lakh 50 lakh. of other suspicious material has been confiscated.

 He said that strict vigil is being maintained by the departments in both areas and strict action is being taken on any suspicious case. Significantly, more than five lakh voters will exercise their franchise in these elections.
