To strengthen the public transport system in Rajasthan, 500 electric buses will be operated in seven cities. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari has taken a big step in this regard. Diya Kumari has issued approval for providing electric buses.

In this regard, he informed that in implementation of the budget announcement, 500 electric buses will be made available for urban bus service in the cities of Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Ajmer, Bikaner, Bharatpur and Udaipur of the state. This will provide pollution-free transportation facilities to the general public. By promoting public transport, the common people will get the benefit of quick and better transport facilities.

Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari said that promoting electric vehicles will save petrol and diesel, reduce environmental pollution and people will get the benefit of a better lifestyle. The operation and maintenance of electric buses will be done by the Autonomous Government Department through Convergence Energy Services Limited.
