A large number of people in the country travel by train every day. Indian Railways provides many types of facilities to its passengers during travel. Today we are going to give you information about how much luggage you can take with you for free while traveling by train.

In case of excess luggage, you will also be charged for it. There is already a weight limit for carrying luggage in the train. As per railway rules, you can carry luggage up to 70 kg for free during AC first class travel.

Passengers of AC second class are allowed to carry luggage up to 50 kg free of charge. At the same time, a passenger can carry luggage weighing 40 kg in third AC, 40 kg in sleeper category and 35 kg in second class. If the weight exceeds this, it will be charged.
