'I am in depression'

Revanna said, 'I apologize to my parents... I am in depression. I will return to India and appear before the SIT on May 31.' The Karnataka government has formed an SIT to investigate this matter. Revanna is a leader of the Janata Dal (Secular) i.e. JDS and grandson of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda. He is the current MP from Hassan's seat and this time too he is a candidate from Hassan's seat on behalf of NDA. Prime Minister Modi also campaigned for him.

Women had accused him of sexual harassment

Last month, Revanna went to Germany. A few days after this, women accused him of sexual harassment. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and other leaders attacked not only Revanna but also PM Modi on this matter. Four days after leaving India on May 1, he wrote on Instagram, 'I was not in Bangalore. I had told the police about this with the help of my lawyer. The truth will come out.'

Deve Gowda has given a warning

Earlier, Deve Gowda had also warned his grandson. Deve Gowda had written a letter in which he had said to either come back home or bear the anger of your family. While warning Revanna, Deve Gowda had said do not test my patience and it took him a long time to recover from this pain. Deve Gowda attacked the ruling Congress and former allies. These parties had claimed that Deve Gowda had sent Revanna abroad. Whereas Deve Gowda had said in the letter that if his grandson is found guilty then he should be given the harshest punishment.
