In the coming time, rooftop solar panels will be installed on one crore houses under the Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana by the Central Government. Recently PM Modi has launched the Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana. Today we are going to give you information about how much subsidy is available from the government on installation of solar panels.

Various subsidies are provided by the Central Government for the installation of rooftop solar panels. The subsidy is given up to Rs 18 thousand per kilowatt to general category people and Rs 20 thousand per kilowatt to people of special category. This subsidy is given to people by the Central Government for installing solar panels up to three kilowatts. 

Whereas for installing solar panels of more than three kilowatts, a subsidy of Rs 9,000 per kilowatt is given to the general category and Rs 10,000 to the special category people.
