58 people were killed in the 1998 blast

The name of the terrorist organization Al-Umma came to the fore behind these blasts. The head of this organization, SS Basha, was later sentenced to life imprisonment. Basha, who was counted among the dreaded terrorists, died in a hospital on December 16, 2024. After this, he was buried on December 17.

Big leaders attended the farewell

Many big leaders and actors of Tamil Nadu participated in the farewell procession of SA Basha. These include Tamil Act Seeman, Kongu Ilaignar Peravai Party President U Thaniyarasu and VCK Deputy General Secretary Vanni Arasu. Apart from these, many other leaders joined the funeral procession of terrorist Basha. A large group of fundamentalists also joined Basha's last farewell.

It is worth noting that there is a lot of anger among the people on social media regarding Basha's funeral. Many people have objected to this and said that this will promote radicalism even more.
