Police action on two special henchmen of mafia Atiq Ahmed, property worth Rs 5.29 crore seized

Action has been taken against the special henchmen of gangster Atiq Ahmed in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. Here the property of Abdul Samad alias Saddam, brother-in-law of mafia Atiq Ahmed's brother Ashraf, and his associate Mohammad Raza alias Lalla Gaddi was confiscated on Tuesday. The notice of confiscation was served to both of them on Monday itself.
On Tuesday afternoon, the police administration team along with SDM Sadar Pramod Kumar reached Harungala. Here, property worth Rs 5.29 crore of both the accused was seized. Under the Gangster Act, three bighas of land of Saddam, who is lodged in Badaun jail, and his associate Lalla Gaddi, located in Harungala of Baradari police station area, has been confiscated.
The police have put up a board on the land. Buying and selling of the confiscated land has been banned. District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar said that the SDM Sadar was given the order to confiscate the property within 15 days. Saddam is lodged in Badaun jail. Lalla Gaddi has recently come out of jail on bail. The Sadar Tehsil team contacted Badaun jail and served the notice.
According to the order issued, out of the land plot number 530 and 531 of Saddam and Lalla Gaddi situated in Harungala, 1/10th part of about three bighas of land measuring 1.580 hectares was confiscated in favor of the state government under section (14) 1 of the Prevention of Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities Act 1986. Its estimated value is Rs 5,29,44,360. The DM ordered the confiscation of the SSP report.
There are 5 cases registered against both of them.
According to the information, before taking possession of the property, the police also made an announcement with the drum. Abdul Samad alias Saddam and Raza alias Lalla Gaddi had collected a lot of property in Bareilly. After the death of Atiq-Ashraf, the grip of Saddam Lalla Gaddi and the police administration kept tightening. Police said- Action was taken against 11 people including Saddam and Lalla Gaddi under the Gangster Act in February last year. Nine cases are registered against Saddam and 5 against Lalla Gaddi in different police stations.
