So far, 8,774 applications have been received for the recruitment of 445 seats in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) Phase II. Reportedly, there has been less response to this recruitment process. Hence, once again the deadline for the recruitment process has been extended till 30th April.

In October 2022, the Municipal Corporation conducted the recruitment process for 448 seats in the first phase. This recruitment process was conducted online in an agreement with IBPS. PMC has become the first municipality in the state to implement the online process for recruitment as ordered by the state government.

After the completion of the recruitment process in the first phase, the recruitment process for 445 seats was to be held in the second phase. But, the response to the recruitment process of the second phase has been less as compared to the first phase. Only 4,218 applications were received in the first 18 days since the application started. Of these, 3,775 applications were eligible.

The last date to apply for the second phase of recruitment was March 28. But in view of the low response in the recruitment process, another 15 days were given to fill out the application form. Accordingly, April 13 was the last date to apply. So far 8,774 applications have been received for this recruitment.

Additional Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Ravindra Binwade said that therefore once again the deadline for the recruitment process has been extended till April 30.

In this phase, the vacant posts of Municipal Corporation Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 will be recruited through direct service entry.
