PM Modi: India sent relief material to Palestine, but with Israel against Hamas
The Indian Government has once again shown a big heart and sent relief material to Palestine. Let us tell you that at present the war is going on between Israel and Hamas terrorists and in such a situation this step has been taken to help the suffering people. India on Sunday sent about six and a half tonnes of medical aid and 32 tonnes of disaster relief material to the people of Palestine.
According to media reports, Indian Air Force's C-17 transport aircraft left for Egypt's Al-Arish airport carrying relief material. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said on social media platforms, India has sent humanitarian aid to the people of Palestine.
The material includes essential life-saving medicines, surgical items, tents, sleeping bags, tarpaulins, hygiene items, tablets for water purification, among other essential items, he said. The Prime Minister had earlier also told Palestine Authority President Mahmoud Abbas that India would continue to send humanitarian aid to the people of Palestine. India has been supporting Palestine and Palestinian refugees through contributions to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency. But stands with Israel against terrorism.
