Rajput, on the other hand, had to undergo a CT scan of his head and MRI of his spine as he complained of internal head injury and back pain. At present, the condition of both of them is stable and we are giving them only symptomatic treatment. "Several VIPs are coming to meet the injured MPs. Therefore, security has been increased in and around the hospital. Prime Minister Narendra Modi called up Sarangi and Rajput and enquired about their health.

According to Dr Shukla, Sarangi was bleeding profusely when he was brought to the hospital. "He had a deep wound on his forehead and had to get stitches. His blood pressure level was very high when he was brought to the hospital and there was nervousness," Shukla said. However, the MP was conscious when he was brought to the hospital. The medical superintendent said both MPs have been administered medicines, while tests like CT scan of the head and heart examination are being conducted. "They are both in the ICU and we are making efforts to stabilise them," the doctor said.
