A study titled “Shisha Smoking Habits Among Young Pakistani Female Students” found that 61% of female students started smoking shisha during their college life. Most of them consider it fashionable and many are not even aware of its harmful effects. According to the research, 35% of the female students used it as a way to lose weight, while 22% used it to reduce stress. The worrying thing is that many times intoxicants are mixed in shisha, which increases the risk of addiction among the youth.
