A man in Karnataka was extorting money from girls by creating profiles on matrimonial apps, who has now been arrested by the police and sent to jail. He would first create profiles on matrimonial sites and post beautiful pictures there, calling himself an officer in his bio. After this, he would win the trust of the girls. He would promise to marry someone and would lure someone with the promise of getting a job. In this way, he would take thousands of rupees from the girls.

The accused was Jaibhim Padakoti, a resident of Hitinhalli village in Vijayapura district of Karnataka. Jaibhim trapped the girls by creating his profile on matrimonial apps. He met a girl from a village in Koppal taluk through a matrimonial app and later married her in 2021 after talking to her family, but a few days after the marriage, he started harassing his wife. After this, the woman has returned to her maternal home and is living with her child and mother.

Woman police arrested

After marriage, the woman came to know that Jai Bhim is not an ordinary person, but his only job is to cheat people and extort money. Therefore, she lodged a complaint against Jai Bhim in Koppal Women's Police Station in 2023. However, despite having a non-bailable warrant, the police could not arrest him, but now he has been arrested by the Koppal Women's Police.

Two lakh rupees extorted in the name of job

Jaibheem's wife said that five days after my father's death, Jaibheem called me, took my number, then took our address and came to my house. He told me that he is a senior officer in KEB. I convinced my parents, but he lied to me. Along with this, he took two lakh rupees by claiming to get a job for the girl's brother and then took fifty thousand rupees citing other reasons. After this, he started harassing the woman.

11 cases registered in 9 police stations

The woman filed a dowry harassment case against Jaibheem in the police station. Now the woman is demanding justice. After Jaibheem's arrest, it was found that 11 cases are registered against him in 9 police stations of the state. Jaibheem is also an accused in a murder case. Cases of cheating women by promising them marriage and jobs have come to light against him.

Girls were trapped in a net

Jaibhim has trapped girls from many districts including Shivamogga, Bengaluru and Chikmagalur through matrimonial apps. He would talk to the girls and then extort money from them by telling them that he was in some trouble. When he married a girl from Koppal and beat her up, she filed a complaint, then the cunning accused Jaibhim was caught.
