Before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the country, PM Narendra Modi has done a big work, which will benefit the people of the state. PM Modi on Monday inaugurated two sections of the 53.3 km long 6-lane access-controlled greenfield highway section of the Amritsar-Jamnagar Economic Corridor at an event organized in Gurugram, Haryana.

The people of Rajasthan will benefit from the development of the Amritsar-Jamnagar Economic Corridor. Especially the border districts of Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Barmer and Jalore will have direct connectivity with the major industrial cities and ports of Punjab and Gujarat. The development of this corridor will boost tourism and exports along with industrial development and create new employment opportunities. This 917 km long access-controlled greenfield highway will be built at a cost of approximately Rs 22 thousand 500 crore.

Its approximately 637 km stretch is passing through many districts of Rajasthan. PM Modi inaugurated 2 packages of this project, Dabwali (Sirsa)-Pilibanga (Hanumangarh) approximately 53 km in length and costing Rs 1799 crore.
