He became the Finance Minister during the tenure of former PM PV Narasimha. After this, Dr Manmohan Singh got the opportunity to become the Prime Minister of the country from 2004 to 2014. Manmohan Singh, who has turned 91, last reached Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan. 

Now former Congress President Sonia Gandhi will replace Manmohan Singh in the Rajya Sabha. Congress has sent him to Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan. Manmohan Singh has made his special identity by making many big decisions related to the economy. Under the leadership of Manmohan Singh, the country has achieved strength in the field of economy.
