There has been a political uproar over the Modi government's Budget 2025. Congress and opposition parties have alleged that the Union Budget has been turned into a budget for Bihar and its allies. Even while presenting the budget in Parliament, opposition MPs created a ruckus over Bihar. These MPs said that the government is making announcements for Bihar in view of the elections.

In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BJP failed to form the government on its own. The party remained 32 steps away from the magic figure of 272, after which the government was formed under the leadership of Narendra Modi, but on the strength of NDA parties.

Bihar and Andhra have the most influence in the NDA. Bihar's JDU, LJP (R) and HAM (S) are partners in the government. Similarly, Andhra Pradesh's Chandrababu Naidu's party TDP, and Pawan Kalyan's Janasena are part of the NDA.

Both states were given a lot of preference last time too. This time too, both have dominated the budget. Let us know one by one what the Modi government has given to its allies in the budget.

1. Chandrababu Naidu's party has 16 MPs and Pawan Kalyan's party has 2 MPs. This time Naidu had asked for money for concrete projects, which the Center accepted. Rs 30436 crore has been approved for Andhra's Polavaram irrigation project. The Center will also give the old outstanding amount to the Andhra government. This project originates from the Eluru district of Godavari river.

15 thousand crore rupees have also been given for the development of Andhra Pradesh's capital Amaravati. Andhra Pradesh was divided in 2013. Since then, Andhra lost Hyderabad as its capital. Now Naidu's government is busy making Amaravati the capital. Andhra can also get a share in the Nuclear Solam Project. However, its official announcement has not been made yet.

2. Chirag Paswan of Bihar is a partner in the NDA. Chirag's party has 5 Lok Sabha MPs. National Food Technology Institute has been announced for Chirag. This institute will be under the Ministry of Food and Processing, of which Chirag is the minister.

It is being said that this institute can be built in Jamui, Hajipur or Samastipur. Chirag is the party's MP in all three places. Chirag himself is an MP from Hajipur. His brother-in-law Arun Bharti is an MP from Jamui. Chirag's hometown is Samastipur.

3. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar currently has 12 Lok Sabha MPs. Elections are also proposed in Bihar at the end of this year. Big announcements have been made in Bihar to please Nitish Kumar. The formation of Makhana Board is prominent among these. This will directly benefit the people of Mithila.

Apart from this, there has been talk of development of Patna and Bihta airports. Money has also been announced for the Western Kosi Canal project. This project will benefit the people of Darbhanga and Madhubani. Both the districts have a total of 20 assembly seats.

There is talk of building 3 greenfield airports in Bihar. These airports are proposed in Rajgir, Sonpur and Bhagalpur. Rajgir is located in Nitish's home district Nalanda.

4. Ajit Pawar is an ally of NDA. Pawar is also the Deputy CM of Maharashtra. BJP has also taken Ajit Pawar's demand into consideration. Rs 837 crore has been given for the metro in Pune. Pune is Ajit Pawar's home town. He is also the guardian minister here. Apart from this, a provision of Rs 596 crore has been made in the budget for the Maharashtra Agri Business Network-Magnet project.

5. Eknath Shinde is also a major ally of Maharashtra. BJP has taken special care of him too. Rs 1600 crore has been given for the metro in Mumbai. Deputy CM Shinde is the guardian minister of Mumbai. Whereas, Rs 1094 crore has been given to Mumbai under the Green Urban Mobility Project. Eknath Shinde has a total of 7 MPs in the Lok Sabha. Shinde has welcomed the budget.
