The preparations for the inauguration of the new Parliament House are in full swing and along with it about 20 opposition parties including the Congress are opposing it. In such a situation, politics has become hot at this time. The new Parliament House is to be inaugurated on May 28 and PM Modi will inaugurate it. But the opposition demands that it should be inaugurated by the President.

On the other hand, despite the boycott of 20 opposition parties including Congress, about 25 parties from across the country will participate in this programme. Apart from BJP, there are 24 other parties which are going to participate in it. The boycotting parties said, during the tenure of this government, the soul of the Parliament was repeatedly attacked. It is an 'indecent act' to keep the President away from this important function.

The country's political parties have become divided over the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament House, in such a situation, it is difficult for the opposition to unite even in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Even the matter of the opening of the Parliament has now reached the threshold of the Supreme Court. A PIL has sought a direction that the inauguration of the new Parliament House be ordered not by the Prime Minister of India but by the President of India.
