Neither do you have the majority nor is Ajit trustworthy… will Eknath Shinde use these 5 issues as a weapon for bargaining with BJP?

The picture of who will form the government in Maharashtra is now clear, but who will become the Chief Minister? There is still a problem regarding this. As soon as Mahayuti got the absolute majority in the trends, Eknath Shinde strongly staked his claim for the post of Chief Minister. Shinde has said that who will become the Chief Minister will be decided in the NDA meeting.

It is being said that Shinde will try to bargain with his 5 moves in the NDA meeting regarding the Chief Minister. If any one of these moves is successful, then the BJP may have to wait to sit on the Chief Minister's chair.

Mandate to the government and CM

The NDA alliance suffered a crushing defeat during the Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra. However, Shinde Sena managed to win the same number of seats as the BJP. The NDA is moving towards a big lead in the assembly elections. Eknath Shinde has also given a statement amid the counting of votes.

Shinde has said that this is a mandate for the work of the government. In such a situation, it is being said that when Shinde will discuss for the post of Chief Minister, he can put forward this point strongly. Shinde can argue that if the Chief Minister is changed, then Shiv Sena workers will also be hurt and it can have a bad effect in the future.

In this election, Shinde was trying to please everyone while being the Chief Minister. His supporters were constantly praising his work and were asking for the mandate in his name.

BJP does not have a clear majority

Shinde can make a big bargain for the post of Chief Minister. That is because BJP is not getting a clear majority. So far, BJP is seen getting a lead in only 120-125 seats. Even in the final results, a change of more than 5 seats is now difficult.

145 MLAs are needed to form a government in Maharashtra. In 2019, BJP failed to form the government due to lack of majority.

Ajit is not a trustworthy leader

Ajit Pawar may be in NDA right now, but it is difficult to trust him. Ajit has taken a U-turn 3 times since 2019. Ajit Pawar's ideology also does not match with BJP. Tensions between Ajit and Devendra Fadnavis were seen during the assembly elections itself.

Fadnavis had accused Ajit of being with anti-Hindutva people. During the elections, he was openly saying that you should vote for me. The votes that I will get will not go to BJP.

Eknath Shinde will make this a big issue regarding the post of Chief Minister. Shinde will bargain by saying that the ideology of Shiv Sena has already been similar to that of BJP.

Seal on two and a half years of work

Eknath Shinde has also raised the issue of two and a half years. He has said that the public has approved our work. Eknath Shinde had contested this election on the basis of schemes like toll free and Ladki Behen. He had implemented these schemes strongly during his tenure as Chief Minister. In such a situation, Shinde can bargain on this basis as well.

Shinde can say that the government is running well right now. If changes are made in its structure, then problems may increase in the future.

  1. Broke the party for BJP

Eknath Shinde rebelled in Shiv Sena only for Bharatiya Janata Party. BJP stood firmly with him during the rebellion in 2022. Due to the rebellion, Uddhav faction is still calling him a traitor. Shinde had also got very angry at a worker who called him a traitor during the elections.

Shinde can make this an issue in bargaining for the CM post. In 2022, Eknath Shinde had rebelled in the 45-year-old Shiv Sena. Due to this rebellion, Uddhav lost the command of Shiv Sena.
