Temple-Dargah dispute in Fatehpur Sikr

This question is because it was claimed in the Agra District Court that Sheikh Salim Chishti Dargah of Fatehpur Sikri Memorial is the sanctum sanctorum of Mata Kamakhya Devi. Where currently the Dargah is being built. A petition has been filed in the court with this claim.

In the case, Mata Kamakhya Sthan, Arya Sanskriti Conservation Trust, Yogeshwar Shri Krishna Cultural Research Institute Trust, Kshatriya Shaktipeeth Development Trust, and advocate Ajay Pratap Singh are the plaintiffs, while UP Sunni Central Waqf Board, Management Committee Dargah Salim Chishti and Management Committee Jama Masjid have been made the defendants. Is.

Petitioner Ajay Pratap Singh says that there is enough evidence and evidence which shows that the Sheikh Salim Chishti Dargah built in Fatehpur Sikri Memorial is not the Dargah but it is the main sanctum sanctorum of Mata Kamakhya Devi. Also, the Jama Masjid built in the complex is a part of the temple. According to the petitioner, the temple of Maa Kamakhya Devi, the clan goddess of Sikarwars, used to be there.

At that time Rawdham Dev was the king there during the Khanwa war. This has been mentioned in the history of Raodham Dev. There is an octagonal well in the southwestern part of the Buland Darwaza of Fatehpur Sikri and a poor house in the west-east. Babar has mentioned building it in Babarnaama. The octagonal well is the hallmark of Hindu architects. Foreign official EV Havel in his book had claimed the roof and pillars of Jama Masjid to be pure Hindu design. 

Jama Masjid is built on Hindu pillars

Dr. DV Sharma, former ASI Superintendent of Agra, had done this excavation for Veer Chhaveli Tila. During the excavation, they found the idol of Saraswati and Jain sculptures. Sharma has written a book Archeology of Fatehpur Sikri New Discovery. It is written on page number 86 of this book that Jama Masjid is built on Hindu pillars.

With this claim, a new controversy has arisen in Agra after the Taj Mahal and Jama Masjid. The matter is not just at the threshold of the court. The issue is also hot in the discussion chaupal. Currently, the matter is only in the Small Matters Court from where a notice has been issued.. till now no comment has been given by the court on this. The court will decide on whether this case is worth hearing or not.
