My DNA is Indian… Why did the President of Indonesia say this in front of PM Modi?

This time the chief guest on Republic Day was President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia. After the Republic Day celebrations, President Draupadi Murmu hosted a dinner in his honor. During this time, President Subianto jokingly said about his new relations with India that the recent DNA test has revealed that his ancestors are Indians.
He said, 'A few weeks ago, I got my genetic sequencing test and DNA test done, which showed that my DNA is Indian. Everyone knows that when I listen to Indian music, I start dancing. This must be a part of my Indian genes.' Hearing this statement of President Subianto, the guests including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar started laughing.
PM Modi's leadership was described as inspirational
Subianto, who came to Delhi as the chief guest of India's 76th Republic Day celebrations, spoke of the lasting cultural and historical ties between the two countries. Emphasizing the shared heritage between the two countries, he said, 'A very important part of our language comes from Sanskrit. Many Indonesian names are in Sanskrit. In our daily lives, the influence of ancient Indian civilization is very strong.'
The President of Indonesia also praised PM Modi's leadership and called it inspirational. He said, 'I am very proud to be in India. I am not a professional politician, I am not a good diplomat, I say what is in my heart. I came here for a few days, but learned a lot from the leadership and commitments of Prime Minister Modi.'
Subianto praised PM Modi
Praising Prime Minister Modi for poverty alleviation and upliftment of marginalized communities, Subianto said, "His commitment to poverty alleviation and helping the most vulnerable sections of society is an inspiration to us. I wish prosperity, peace and greatness to the people of India in the coming years. I hope that Indonesia and India will remain close partners and friends." Earlier in the day, President Subianto along with President Murmu and Prime Minister Modi attended the Republic Day celebrations held at Kartavya Path, where he was given a ceremonial welcome.
