MP: Disabled Dalit boy beaten for urinating, made to take off his clothes and clean the drain, cruelty of retired officer

In Harda, Madhya Pradesh, a retired officer beat up a Dalit handicapped person for allegedly urinating. Not only this, the accused also made the victim remove his shirt and clean the drain. After the CCTV footage of the incident surfaced, the police registered a case against the accused retired officer and arrested him. The victim handicapped is a minor, his age is 17 years. The incident happened on Thursday morning at around 10 o'clock.

The video of the incident is going viral on social media, in which the retired officer is seen beating the victim while getting the drain cleaned. The victim says that he had urinated in the drain next to the car. At the same time, the accused beat him up badly accusing him of urinating on the car. The accused is retired from the Income Tax Department.

The incident occurred at the Vivekanand campus located in Harda city. A 17-year-old Dalit youth was passing by here. He is also handicapped. He stopped there and urinated. On this, DP Ojha, a retired officer from the Income Tax Department living on the campus, caught him. Accusing him of urinating in the car, he beat him up. Along with beating them, the accused made the youth remove his shirt and made him clean the drain. It is alleged that the retired officer used caste-related abuses against the youth.

The youth was injured due to the beating. He left from there. He lodged a complaint against the accused at Harda police station. The incident was recorded in the CCTV camera installed there, the footage of which went viral on social media. The police have registered a case against the accused and arrested him. A police officer said that the incident happened on Thursday. The retired officer scolded the minor accusing him of urinating on his car. When he denied the allegation saying it was a lie, the accused beat him up. The police officer said that the accused also forced the boy to clean the drain with his shirt.
