Speaking to Brut, Nikhil said, 'I kept listening to her past talks for 3 years... One day I blurted out, 'Geeta, leave all this, will you marry me or not?'

Family's opposition:

Nikhil's family refused to accept the relationship because of the 20-year age difference between the two. His mother was deeply shocked, while his brother flatly refused. He said that she is of your mother's age.

Geeta also had doubts about whether such a big age difference would be able to sustain the relationship. But Nikhil remained firm on his decision to get married. Gradually both the families bowed down to their passion. Both of them got married in December 2020. Today Nikhil's mother proudly introduces Geeta as 'meri pyaari bahu'.

On completing 4 years of marriage, Geeta says, 'I had thought, whether it is 2 years, 4 years or 5 years... whatever time we get, we will live it to the fullest. But these four years were the happiest moments of our life.'
