Shaming the relationship between father-in-law and daughter-in-law, the father-in-law treated the elderly women in such a way that the next day their dead bodies were found lying in the toilet tank.
Seen in objectionable condition
A week ago, Geeta Devi saw her husband Ghurhu Yadav and daughter-in-law Gudiya in an objectionable condition in the bedroom. She protested against this and threatened to tell everything to her son. After this, the father-in-law and daughter-in-law conspired to eliminate Geeta Devi. During this, both of them called Geeta Devi home on Thursday evening on some pretext. After this, the daughter-in-law killed her mother-in-law by hitting her on the head with a brick and half-burnt wood. Not only this, after the murder, her body was hidden in the water tank of the toilet of the house.
Told mother-in-law she was a runaway
After the murder, the daughter-in-law fabricated a false story and told her husband Deepak that her mother-in-law had gone somewhere on a bike with an unknown person. Geeta Devi's husband Ghurhu Yadav lodged a missing complaint on Friday. The police started the investigation and recovered Geeta Devi's body in the toilet tank on Saturday morning. The postmortem report confirmed that she died due to a serious head injury. Meanwhile, SP Santosh Mishra formed a team to solve the murder. Contradictions were found in the separate interrogation of the father-in-law, daughter-in-law and son.
On strict interrogation, the father-in-law and daughter-in-law confessed to the crime. They said that they had been in a relationship for the past two years and Geeta Devi was creating obstacles in their relationship. The police recovered the piece of brick used in the murder, half-burnt wood and blood-stained clothes. Both the accused have been arrested and sent to jail.
