In Pune, Maharashtra, a brother killed his sister in a dispute over a house. His wife also assisted him in this heinous murder. The accused brother first strangled his sister and then separated her head, hands, and feet from the torso. To destroy the evidence, he threw all the body parts in a raging river. The rest of the body parts were washed away in the strong current of the river, but her torso reached the shore. The police identified her and got her post-mortem done. The accused brother and sister-in-law have been arrested.

The murder was committed on 26th August. On the same day, the police found the body of a woman on the banks of the Mutha river in the Kharadi area of Pune city. Her hands and legs were cut off. After investigation, the woman was identified as Sakina Khan. Her brother Ashfaq and sister-in-law Hamida had brutally murdered their sister for the ownership of a slum-like house. Both of them came to Sakina's house, killed her, and cut her into several pieces. The accused cut her body into pieces in the house itself and then threw it into the Mutha river.

Sakina's missing complaint was first lodged with the police. When a woman's torso was found near the river bank, the police suspected it to be Sakina's. The suspicion proved true after identification. Her other body parts were searched in the river, but they were not found due to the strong current. A case was registered against an unknown accused in Chandannagar police station. The police believed that this cruelty was done to destroy evidence and to prevent the body from being identified. Seeing the brutality of the incident, the police suspected that personal enmity and close people could be involved in it.

The police were questioning everyone in this case. Meanwhile, a dispute over a house between the deceased's brother and sister-in-law came to light, after which the police took brother Ashfaq and his wife and the deceased's sister-in-law Hamida into custody. When the crime branch started the interrogation, Hamida first confessed to the crime, after which Ashfaq also opened up. During the interrogation, he made a shocking revelation.

Accused Ashfaq told the police that his sister Sakina lived in a slum-type house. He wanted to get that house registered in his name. But Sakina refused every time. It was raining heavily in Pune on 26th August. Sakina was alone at her home. Then he and his wife reached Sakina's house. Sakina offered them tea and water and then they started talking. As usual, the conversation started about the ownership of the house in which Sakina lived.

Sakina refused to transfer the house in her brother's name. After which Asfaq got angry. With the help of his wife Hamida, he first strangled Sakina, which led to her death. Now the question was how to dispose of the body. It was raining heavily. He thought of cutting his sister's body into pieces and first separating her head from the neck, then cutting both her legs. After that, he cut both her hands. After which the torso was separated from the body.

After that Ashfaq and his wife comfortably threw the pieces of his sister's body in plastic in the surging river. The river was in full spate due to the rain. Both hands, both legs, and the head were washed away in the river but due to the large size and weight of the torso, it came to the shore, which some workers saw and called the police. Then the murder was revealed during the investigation.
