Maharashtra News: There are some voices of discord within the 'Maha-Strong Government' of Mahayuti of Maharashtra. The latest case is that 9 ministers of the state government have not yet taken over the post despite the division of portfolios. It is being said that these ministers have done this due to resentment.
Maharashtra Politics: Mahayuti has formed the government in Maharashtra, but it seems that everything is not going well in the coalition. The alleged internal dispute that has been going on before the elections is not going to end even after the cabinet expansion. On November 25, 39 ministers were sworn in, but nine ministers have not taken up their posts yet. It is being said that these ministers are upset because they do not get the ministry of choice. It is being said that instead of focusing on his department, the 'angry minister' has left for the New Year celebrations.
There has been talk of infighting within the Mahayuti (BJP, Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar-led NCP) ahead of the November 20 assembly elections. There were reports from sources that there was resentment over seat sharing first. After this, when the results came better than expected, there was a problem in the formation of the government. Devendra Fadnavis was sworn in as chief minister for the third time, 13 days after the results were declared on November 23. Former CM Eknath Shinde has been given the responsibility of Deputy CM. At the same time, Ajit Pawar has again become Deputy Chief Minister.
Tussle between the Chief Minister and Ministries:
After waiting for a long time, the state got the Chief Minister, although the latter did not end there. After this, there was a tussle among the coalition parties regarding the ministries. All three parties wanted ministries of their own choice. Several rounds of meetings were also witnessed in the national capital by Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde with the BJP high command over this. After a long struggle and tussle, the cabinet was expanded 20 days after the formation of the government and 39 ministers were sworn in. Most of them have taken up their posts, but there are still 9 ministers who have only taken oath but have not taken charge. According to IANS sources, some ministers are upset over not getting a portfolio of their choice.
Ajit Pawar admits 'unhappiness'
The deputy chief minister of the state himself has confirmed the resentment among the leaders who took oath as ministers. NCP chief Ajit Pawar and the deputy CM had said that some members are not naturally happy. Ajit Pawar's statement came after the distribution of portfolios to the ministers. In such a situation, it can now be clearly said that the Mahayuti government of Maharashtra has won with strength but the government does not appear strong from inside.
Opposition is attacking
The opposition is constantly attacking this alleged discord of Mahayuti since the results are out. NCP (Sharad Pawar) spokesperson Mahesh Tapase slammed the ministers for not holding the posts. He said, "The ministers of the present government know that the government does not have the economic planning and planning to run the government. So right now some ministers are sitting comfortably," he said.
