On getting information about the incident, the family members are crying inconsolably. About 19 people from different districts of the state have died in this incident that took place in Maha Kumbh.
About 19 people from different districts of the state have died in the stampede at Prayagraj Maha Kumbh. A policeman from Ghazipur district also died in this accident. The policeman became a victim of the accident when he was trying to rescue the devotees trapped during the incident, when suddenly his health deteriorated.
According to the information, Anjani Kumar Rai, a resident of Basukha, Muhammadabad, Ghazipur, was on duty at the Prayagraj Mahakumbh fair. He was engaged in safely evacuating the devotees trapped in the stampede at the Prayagraj Mahakumbh. Anjani Kumar Rai was posted in Mahakumbh Nagar. Earlier, he was posted in Bahraich Police Line.
19 people of the state died

In this incident that happened in Maha Kumbh, about 19 people from different districts of the state have died. According to the information, a total of 30 people have died, out of which 4 are devotees from Karnataka, one from Gujarat and one from Assam.
Death occurred while evacuating the devotees
The Maha Kumbh Mela administration has informed that the accident happened due to heavy crowd. Due to heavy crowd, the barricades broke. Due to which the people sleeping on the ground were crushed by the crowd. Anjani Kumar Rai was trying to take out the trapped people safely. Then his health deteriorated.
CM Yogi made this announcement
CM Yogi Adityanath expressed grief over the incident. He has announced financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh each to the families of those killed in the accident. CM Yogi said that the accident happened due to heavy crowd. A judicial commission has been formed to investigate the accident. The fair authority has appealed to the people not to pay attention to rumors.
