This case came to light on November 24, when news of a skeleton being found in a village in Ranchi was received. The police started investigating the case and soon the truth came out that this skeleton was of a woman who was brutally murdered by her lover. The accused first strangled the woman, then chopped the body into pieces with an axe and buried them. A few days later, dogs dug out the skeleton, which revealed the murder.
How did the love triangle begin?
According to the information, Naresh Bhangra, a resident of Jojodag village of Jariagarh police station area, had an affair with a girl named Gangi. She was originally from Malgo Tangratoli village under the Lapung police station of Ranchi. Naresh's maternal home was also in the same village. While visiting his maternal home, he started having an affair with Gangi. Both of them were in a live-in relationship for about one and a half years. After living together for one and a half years, Gangi went to Tamil Nadu to work and Naresh went to Bengaluru. During this time, Naresh had a relationship with another girl and he married the same girl. They both also have a son.
The girlfriend had returned from Tamil Nadu after learning about her boyfriend's infidelity.
When Gangi came to know about Naresh Bhengra's marriage and child, she became angry. She went straight to her home from Bangalore. When Naresh came to know about this, he became afraid. Naresh was afraid that if Gangi told the story of their affair to his wife, his family would break up. His wife would leave him. Naresh made a plan why not convince Gangi and send her back to Tamil Nadu? So he called Gangi to meet him. When Gangi came, he took her by train to Hatia. There on the evening of 8 November, he took Gangi to Bhagwan Panji Tongri. This is where a dispute broke out between the two.

During the fight, Naresh got angry and strangled Gangi with her dupatta. When she died, he chopped her body into pieces with an axe. After that, he collected the pieces buried them there and went home. According to the SDOP, on November 24, when the villagers saw a human skeleton, they informed the police. The police of Jariagarh police station reached the spot, investigation revealed that it was a woman's skeleton. Her post-mortem was conducted. After identification, the accused was arrested.
