Before the start of the first phase of voting for the Lok Sabha elections in Rajasthan, the sequence of Congress leaders leaving the party is showing no signs of stopping.

After many big names including Mahendrajit Singh Malviya, Richpal Mirdha, and Khiladi Lal Bairwa have left the Congress, now the name of another big leader of state politics can be included in this list today. Before the first phase of voting on 12 seats in the state, there are reports of former CM Ashok Gehlot's aide and former Congress state treasurer Sitaram Aggarwal leaving the party. He can join the Bharatiya Janata Party today.

BJP will have a stronghold in Agarwal society.

According to strong news, Sitaram Agarwal, who had contested the assembly elections on behalf of Congress, will leave Congress today and join the BJP. With this step of Sitaram Aggarwal, the BJP's hold in the Aggarwal community will become stronger. Sitaram Aggarwal, a leader close to former CM Ashok Gehlot, was made the Congress candidate from Vidyanagar seat in the Rajasthan Assembly elections held last year. Diya Kumari from the Bharatiya Janata Party registered a big victory from this seat. After this victory, Diya Kumari was made the Deputy Chief Minister of the state.

Sitaram Aggarwal has been defeated in two assembly elections and

has taken the responsibility of the post of State Treasurer of Congress. He had contested two consecutive assembly elections on behalf of the party but had to face defeat both times. In 2018, he had to face defeat from BJP's Narpat Singh Rajvi and in 2023, he had to face defeat from Diya Kumari.
