Lok Sabha Election 2024 Results: US President Joe Biden called PM Modi and congratulated him on the success of the NDA in the Lok Sabha elections. At the same time, the US State Department called India the world's largest democracy and congratulated the government and voters for the successful conduct of the general elections. Biden-Modi talks

The White House issued a statement detailing the talks between Biden and Modi. The statement said, "The two leaders emphasized their commitment to deepening the US-India strategic partnership and advancing their shared vision of a free, open and prosperous Indo-Pacific region."

US National Security Advisor's India visit

The White House also discussed the upcoming India visit of the US National Security Advisor in its statement. The White House said, 'The two leaders also discussed the upcoming visit of National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan to New Delhi, in which discussions are to be held on shared US-India priorities, including the Strategic Technology Partnership.'

PM Modi said this

PM Modi thanked the US President for calling him. He wrote on Instagram, 'I was very happy to receive a call from my friend President Joe Biden. I am very grateful to him for his good wishes and his appreciation for Indian democracy.'

The PM said that the India-US comprehensive global partnership is set to achieve many new milestones in the years to come. Our partnership will continue to be a force for global good for the benefit of humanity.

BJP far from the majority but Modi will become PM for the third time

. Let us tell you that NDA has been successful in getting a majority in the Lok Sabha elections. However, the BJP missed out on getting the majority for the third consecutive time. It had to be satisfied with only 240 seats. On the other hand, NDA performed better than expected and captured 235 seats. Congress managed to win 99 seats.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday submitted his resignation to the President. The President accepted his resignation and asked him to continue in office until the new government took charge.

Meanwhile, at a meeting of the NDA, Modi was unanimously elected the leader of the alliance, thus paving the way for him to be sworn in for a third consecutive time as the head of a coalition government.
