Kota Student Suicide Case: Kriti, the student who committed suicide in Kota, wrote a shocking thing in the suicide note

Kota Student Suicide Case:  The cases of student suicides in the educational city of Kota are not stopping. The cases of student suicides one after the other have raised many questions on the image of Kota. Recently, Kriti, a student studying in Kota, committed suicide. Now, a suicide note has been recovered, in which she has appealed to the Government of India and the Ministry of Human Resources.

Student Kriti wrote in the suicide note that, “I want to tell the Government of India and the Ministry of Human Resources that if they want that no child die, then they should close these coaching institutes as soon as possible. These coaching institutes hollow out the students. There is so much pressure on studying that children get burdened. Kriti wrote that she was successful in preventing many students in Kota from committing suicide by bringing them out of depression and stress. But, she could not stop herself. Many people will not believe that a girl like me who has 90+ marks can also commit suicide. But, I cannot explain to you people how much hatred is filled in my mind and heart.

For her mother, Kriti wrote, “You took advantage of my childhood and being a child and kept forcing me to like science. I also kept studying science so that I could keep you happy. I started liking subjects like quantum physics and astrophysics and wanted to do a BSc in them. But, let me tell you that I still like English literature and history very much. Because these pull me out in my dark times.”

Kriti warned her mother saying- 'Don't do such cunning and forcing act with your younger sister studying in 11th class. Let her do what she wants to become and what she wants to study. Because she can do the best in that work which she loves. Reading this makes one's mind upset that in this competition we are snatching away the dreams of our children. Today we have started competing with our families that so and so's son or daughter has become a doctor, we also want to make them doctors. So and so's son or daughter is in Sikar/Kota hostel, so we will also teach them there. Whatever the dreams of that child are...we are imposing our dreams on them.

Kriti further said that today our schools (coaching institutes) are not able to teach children the importance of family relationships, they are not able to teach them to fight failures or problems. Their minds are being filled with feelings of competition with each other which is swallowing their lives like poison. Those who are weak are committing suicide and those who are a little strong are turning to drugs. When our children are broken by failures, they do not know how to deal with it. Their soft hearts are broken by this failure and that is why suicides are increasing.

Let us tell you that amidst the study environment in Kota, mental stress is also clearly visible in the students. In the month of January 2025 itself, four students committed suicide, out of which three were preparing for JEE. One is a NEET student. Mental stress has been seen in these students.
