The CBI has questioned a young TMC leader in the case of rape and murder of a female trainee doctor in Kolkata. Officials said that on the day of the incident, the leader had checked in to the hotel with a female friend. 

Kolkata. The CBI on Thursday questioned TMC youth leader Ashish Pandey in the case of rape and murder of a female trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical Hospital. Let us tell you that Ashish is also a house staff at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. The CBI questioned Pandey for several hours at its office in CGO Complex.

The TMC leader was staying in a hotel with a female friend

According to a CBI official, on the day the body of the female trainee doctor was found, Ashish Pandey had checked in to a hotel in Salt Lake with a female friend. During this time, Pandey's phone number was found in the call list of many people. We are trying to trace his activities on that day. Not only this, the CBI also summoned the hotel officials for Pandey's booking and payment details.

The body of the trainee doctor was found on 9 August itself

According to the CBI officer, the hotel room was booked through an app. Ashish checked in on the afternoon of August 9 and left the next morning. We are trying to find out what was the purpose of his stay there. Let us tell you that on August 9 itself, the body of a trainee doctor was found in RG Kar Medical Hospital, after which outrage spread across the country.

The dharna that has been going on for 41 days will end on 20 September

Let us tell you that the protest of junior doctors outside the Health Bhavan in Salt Lake, Kolkata, which has been going on since September 10, will end on September 20. With this, all the doctors will return to work. Let us tell you that after the rape-murder of a trainee doctor on August 9 at RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata, the doctors have been on strike for the last 41 days. Before ending the protest, the junior doctors will march from the Health Bhavan to the CBI office located in CGO Complex.
