Her body was found in a field some distance away from the house.

The innocent girl went missing on Wednesday afternoon. When she did not return in the evening, the family informed the police. A case was registered on the complaint of the family. Based on this the search for the girl was started. For this, the help of the dog squad was taken. On Thursday, the body of the girl was found in a sugarcane field located some distance from her house.

Kolhapur Superintendent of Police Mahendra Pandit said that a case was registered on the complaint of the family and the girl was searched. With the help of the dog squad, her body was found in a sugarcane field on Thursday morning. The girl was raped and then killed. To uncover the incident, the police scanned the CCTV cameras of the area. 6 suspects were detained and questioned in the case. The real accused was caught after investigating nine CCTV pictures. He said that the accused Dinesh Kumar Saha is a distant uncle of the girl.

Police said that the victim's family is originally from Bihar. For the last year, the family has been living in a village in Kolhapur. The deceased's father works in the nearby MIDC. The accused was also living with them for the last three months. Police have questioned the accused. A case has been registered against him under serious sections. Preparations are being made to send the accused to jail.
