In a village in Kannauj district of Uttar Pradesh, two bike-riding youths kidnapped a girl. Both the accused brought the girl to Delhi. Here she was gang-raped. The victim's family complained to the police. Two days later, the girl was recovered from a school in the village. The family alleges that the police did not take any action against the accused. After the incident, the accused youth started threatening the girl and her family.

Fearing the threats of the accused, the girl hanged herself to death. Her death caused chaos in the family. The family members created a ruckus accusing the police of negligence. When the information reached the senior police officers, the inspector related to the case was suspended. The accused fled from the village by locking their houses along with their families. Police teams are being formed to arrest them.

The incident is from a village in Saurikh police station area. A 16-year-old girl from here went to the fields outside the village to defecate on the evening of July 11. It is alleged that two bike-riding youths from neighboring village Hazratpur forcibly kidnapped her. Both the accused took the girl to Delhi and gang-raped her there. When the girl did not return home after a long time on the day of the incident, her father lodged a missing report in the police station. During police action, the girl was found in a school in Hazratpur village on July 14.

Taking action, the police presented the victim in court. The family alleges that the accused was constantly threatening the teenager and her family over the phone and pressuring them to compromise. If they did not compromise, they were being threatened with death. The family says that fed up with the threats of the accused, the teenager committed suicide on Tuesday by hanging herself with a dupatta on the fan in the room. The incident created panic among the family. On receiving the information, Inspector-in-charge Digvijay Singh informed the higher officials about the incident and called the forensic team to the spot and collected evidence.

Accused the police, created ruckus

The victim's family created a ruckus accusing the police of taking money from the accused and not taking any action. On the complaint of the deceased girl's brother, the police registered a report and sent the body for post-mortem. After the incident, the accused's family locked their houses and fled. BSP district president Bablu Gautam, who arrived on the information, condemned the incident and demanded the immediate arrest of the accused. The CO said that teams have been formed to arrest the accused. Raids are being conducted at possible hideouts. The accused will be arrested soon.

After the incident, Kannauj Police Captain Amit Kumar Anand said that a case of rape of a girl has come to light. Strictest action will be taken on the basis of the complaint given by the victim's family. SI Mansingh, who was negligent, has been suspended. Efforts are being made to arrest the accused soon.
