The festival of Janmashtami is being celebrated with pomp across the country today. Devotees are reaching the temple since morning to have the darshan of Lord Krishna. In Mathura, morning aarti was performed at Shri Krishna Janmasthan temple. At the same time, crowds of devotees are gathering in the ISKCON temple of Noida since morning. Lord Krishna was born on the day of Janmashtami. Lord Krishna is considered the 8th incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Although this time due to the corona epidemic, Dahi Handi programs are not being held, people are reaching the temples to have darshan of Shri Krishna. Devotees are being instructed to follow the Corona guidelines outside the temples. It is mandatory to wear a mask and follow social distancing before going to the temples.
