To respond to China's tricks in the Indian Ocean, the Indian Navy has started testing the stealth-guided missile INS Nilgiri. These deadly warships will play an important role in protecting India's maritime borders. The first warship INS Nilgiri, the Alpha Stealth Frigates built under Project-17, will be commissioned into the Indian Navy fleet by this year. INS Nilgiri was launched in the year 2019.
Equipped with next-generation stealth and guided missiles, this destroyer will increase the strength of the Indian Navy in the Indian Ocean manifold. Project-17A frigate is one of the indigenously developed advanced and state-of-the-art warships. It has been designed to be used as a powerful platform for anti-submarine, anti-submarine, anti-air, and anti-surface warfare of the Indian Navy.
Enemy time in the sea INS Nilgiri ship is expert in neutralizing threats in 3 dimensions. The next-generation warship gives a befitting reply to any attack from air, surface, and underwater. It is equipped with a medium-range surface-to-air missile system, Brahmos surface-to-surface missile, torpedo tube launchers, anti-submarine rocket launchers, and super rapid gun mount. This frigate is equipped with better stealth features, advanced weapons, sensors, and radar systems.
Along with this, India is going to include Astra MK-2 in its arsenal. Soon this missile will be installed in Rafale aircraft. This is an air-to-air missile. Along with this, the strength of aircraft like Tejas Mark 1-A, Tejas Mark 2-A fighter aircraft Sukhoi and AMCA will increase.
