With this step of the government, people will now be able to book general tickets sitting at home. As of now, passengers have to go to station ticket counters to book reserved and unreserved tickets. Now the sale of these tickets will also be started digitally by the Indian Railways.

Currently, about 81 percent of passengers book tickets online and 19 percent offline to travel by rail. People have to face long queues at the station to buy tickets at the counter. To provide relief to the passengers from this problem, this big step is being taken by the Indian Railways.
